About Us

Bringing the Taste of Home to Every ʻOhana

Hawaiʻi Organic Taro Farms began in 2017, previously known as Hawaiian Hut. It started with a simple but meaningful purpose , the love of family. Our Dad dedicated his time to support our family here in Hawaiʻi and those living far from home, while keeping the traditions of our food and culture alive.
Food has always been at the heart of our Polynesian culture. This was our father’s way of taking care of our ʻohana, near and far ,making sure that no matter where they were, they could still experience the taste of home.
We were born and raised in Kailua, Oʻahu, and later made our home in Kāneʻohe, where our family continues to grow. Our Mother or “Puna” as her grandbabies know her, has been a Hawaiian Immersion teacher at Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Pū’ōhala for over 30 years and is our living example of love and sacrifice. With six total siblings and now a new generation of grandchildren, family is at the center of everything we do.
We live humbly, grounded in gratitude, and value the time we share together above all else.
Founded by our father, this business has always been rooted in service. His foundation comes from both his culture and his faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has guided the way he serves, gives, and cares for others. Over the years, he has remained committed to our community, not only providing for families, but also giving back through donations, fundraisers, and support for local organizations, schools, and groups.
Today, we carry forward what our father started ,continuing to serve by providing a selected partner farm network of high-quality Taro leaves that bring families together and keep our traditions alive.
It’s our story, our culture, and our way of keeping the taste of home alive today, for you and your ʻohana.
